today has been a rainy, gray day. i chose to grab a mocha/peppermint/pumpkin pie/cinnamon bun cappuccino at a gas station and drive alone to this sweet underpass just outside of town. sometimes its nice to be perfectly alone.

from wednesday's gloomy afternoon. i feel like this is the time to take charge and be free and independent. i feel like i've grown more than i ever have in the past year, and i can say i've gotten to know myself more everyday.

on a happier note, i'm going on a hiking trip to colorado with my friend, her dad, and his friends over new year's eve. spending four days with no running water and breathtaking sights would make anyone appreciate life, and i'm really looking forward to it.
